A little about Elle

I live in Connecticut, a beautiful place full of inspiration and stories to be told.  I maintain a full time job in the health and human services field, I love to travel the world, see new places and try new BBQ!

On my 39th birthday, someone asked me what I wanted to do with my life by the time I turned 40.  Without hesitation I replied, "I want to publish a book."  And so began my journey of self discovery into writing and completing my first book.  Writing has always been a hobby for me, but now it is a passion.

Though I have only published one original book, I have submitted short stories for competitions and I am also an avid Fan Fiction writer.

Logan's Muse

Emily Burke has been picking up the pieces of her life since her husband walked out on her.  Logan Lockwell dropped out of college five years ago & has been swinging a hammer ever since.  A flat tire, a rain storm, a midlife crisis and a propensity for older women united them, but will it be enough to keep them together?

With a back drop like Sterling Lake, a successful romance novelist like Emily should be able to find love with a young man who has a weakness for older women.  But will their age difference, business trips, ambitions for the future and a man who can't seem to become her ex-husband, keep this cougar and her cub from finding true love?

Behind Logan's Muse

This is how the book came to be....

For the past few years I have worked with a local independent film company, Butterfleye Films, in Connecticut.  We had given thought to doing a webseries and I took on the task of writing the first season, pitching a pilot if you will.  About a small community shut off from the rest of the world and the people that lived there.  When I presented my ideas to the company I was reminded that we did not have a lake, a mountain town, or a cast of twenty five to utilize or the budget it would take to make my story come to life.  It was suggested I should scale down my idea.

Well, Logan and Emily were two of those towns people who, in the script, only shared a moment on paper, but they stuck with me and wouldn’t let me rest till their particular story was told.  So, I extracted them from my notes, kept them in their lakeside environment and let their story flow.

I give you, Logan’s Muse.
